I consider myself a general ecologist and have a wide variety of interests that reach across ecosystems, though I'm most drawn to rivers and streams. I'm currently working as a Senior Ecologist with King County's River and Floodplain Management Section in Seattle, WA.
I'm interested in finding ways to protect, preserve, and restore ecosystem functioning in human-impacted landscapes. I'm motivated by questions relating to how human activity impacts organisms and populations, and more broadly, the links between organisms in healthy ecosystems so that we can restore system-wide functionality in impacted or degraded areas. |
